Emo Tours Egypt · Cairo
Emo Tours Egypt picks you up at 8 am for a private day across Cairo: the Egyptian Museum, Saladin's Citadel, then the churches and synagogue of Coptic Cairo. It's the cheapest way to see three districts with your own car, as long as you pay the tickets yourself.

The listing oversells. It promises "over 250,000 relics", "the Rosetta Stone and King Tut's treasures". The Rosetta Stone has been in the British Museum in London since 1802 and has never been in Cairo. Tutankhamun's mask left Tahrir for the Grand Egyptian Museum in late October 2025. What you do get is the Egyptian Museum's 170,000-odd objects, including the Narmer Palette and the Tanis gold, which is plenty for two hours.
Mind the price. There are two options: $20 with an audio guide (the listing says it's available in 82 languages) and $30 with a live guide, both with the private car, when we checked in October 2026. Neither includes tickets. Budget 550 EGP for Tahrir and 550 EGP for the Citadel per foreign adult (275 EGP each for students), paid by card. The churches of Coptic Cairo and the Ben Ezra Synagogue don't charge entry.
The day is long and well paced: two hours each at the museum, the Citadel and Coptic Cairo, then half an hour at Ben Ezra, where the Cairo Geniza documents were found. Reviews praise the guides by name, and one family said their guide was considerate of their young children in the heat. One guest even had a guide who had worked as a curator at the museum.
A representative waits in the lobby with the company sign. The drive takes up to 90 minutes in the listing's plan.
Tickets at the window by card. The Old Kingdom ground floor and the Tanis gold upstairs.
Saladin's 12th-century fortress, the Muhammad Ali Mosque and the view across Cairo.
The Hanging Church above the Roman gate, the old churches and the lanes inside the walls.
The restored synagogue, then the drive back to your hotel.
