Memphis Tours · Giza
Memphis Tours takes you to the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx, then to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where Tutankhamun's gold mask has been since late October 2025. If Tut is why you came to Cairo, this is the day to book, not a tour of Tahrir.

This is our cross-sell, and an honest one. The Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square no longer has Tutankhamun. The Tut hall there closed on 20 October 2025, and the mask and coffins went to the Grand Egyptian Museum, inaugurated next to the Giza pyramids on 1 November 2025. There, for the first time, the whole Tutankhamun collection of more than 5,000 objects is shown together. Memphis Tours pairs it with the pyramids and the Sphinx in one private day from a 9 am start.
Everything is in the price: the guide, lunch, and the entry fees, which matter here. The GEM costs 1,570 EGP for a foreign adult today and 1,830 EGP from 1 November 2026, sold online only in timed slots. The Giza plateau adds 700 EGP. Not included: going inside the pyramids, and a "Mummies room" ticket, which is a leftover from the old route. The GEM has no royal mummies; they are at NMEC.
One thing about the 6,179 reviews: this listing used to visit the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir, and its web address still says so. Reviews written before November 2025 describe that older route. The recent ones are about the GEM, and they are as warm as the old ones. Expect a papyrus or perfume stop and an offer of a camel ride; both are optional.
Pickup across Cairo and Giza; Heliopolis and 6th of October cost $10 per person extra.
The three pyramids from outside, with time for photos. Going inside is extra.
The Sphinx and Khafre's valley temple beside it.
A local restaurant; recent guests describe a traditional meal.
The Grand Staircase and the Tutankhamun galleries, then the drive back.
★★★★★Mr Sam guided us thru the Pyramids, the magic Sphynx and the huge & unforgettable Grand Museum. [...] he was clever enough to keep us away from dubious passers-by and sellers
★★★★★Excellent service throughout our experience. We had a driver and a tour guide, Ahmad, who spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the history and area. Transport was very comfortable and they were flexible to my family needs (stopping for snacks and drinks).
★★★★★The guide was very attentive throughout the entire tour and his explanations were very clear and super interesting. Thank you very much

No. The royal mummies are at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat. The listing's "Mummies room" exclusion is a leftover from the old Tahrir route.
